Self-piercing
Industrial grommets for every application: tents, truck tarps, flags, and more
Whether you need grommets for large-format tents, industrial awnings, truck tarps, or fasteners for flags and signage, PLASTGrommet’s self-piercing metal grommets are designed to withstand tension, weather exposure, and continuous use. Available with brass or steel washers depending on the material being fastened.
Self-piercing brass and steel grommets (Ø9.5, Ø11.5, and Ø15 mm)
Self-piercing grommets do not require pre-drilling of the material: the installation process itself creates the hole and secures the grommet in a single step. Available in nickel-plated brass and steel in diameters of Ø9.5, Ø11.5, and Ø15 mm. Compatible with the HPS025, HPS020R, and HANDPRO manual eyelet setting tools via interchangeable dies for each size.
Eyelets for automatic machines (high-volume production)
For production runs of thousands of units per day, the Ø9.5 and Ø12 mm brass eyelets and the Ø12 Plus steel model are automatically fed into the AUTOCROSS and MULTIPRESS machines. The automatic eyelet and washer feeding system eliminates manual intervention and significantly increases installation speed compared to any manual or semi-automatic process.
Eyelets for Tents, Awnings, Flags, and Truck Tarps
Nickel-plated metal eyelets resist rusting outdoors and withstand the mechanical tension typical of tensioned tents, truck tarps under securing straps, and flags exposed to the wind. For nautical or high-humidity applications, see the stainless steel model. Check availability and price.
Self-piercing or pre-punched eyelets? How to choose
Self-piercing eyelets are the fastest option for PVC tarps, technical textiles, and materials up to 2 mm thick: they do not require pre-punching. For stiffer or thicker materials—polypropylene, high-density laminated tarps, industrial cardboard—models for automatic machines with pre-punched holes offer greater precision and a clean finish.
